UNION BOARD COMMITTEES
ARTIST SERIES
The Artist Series committee produces the C. Shaw K. Smith Artist Series each year. Visit their website to learn more about the current series or how to get involved with selecting the upcoming series!
CONCERTS
Union Board concerts are divided into two committees, Showcase, which focus on up and coming performers, and Premier Concerts, which focuses on bringing major acts to campus.
CATS EXCURSIONS
Cats Excursions is Union Board's newest committee whose mission is to provide a bridge and opportunity for Davidson students to explore the social and cultural offerings of the Charlotte community.
DIY
Do you get craft envy when browsing pinterest? Have you thought "that would be cool to make" but didn't have the supplies? Then DIY is the committee for you! *No artistic skills necessary*
FILMS
The name says it all. We specialize in popular films, but are known to throw in a feel good throwback every now and then.
LAKE CAMPUS
Davidson is fortunate to have a gorgeous outdoor space like the lake campus and we're here to take advantage of it. The Lake Campus committee gives you more opportunities to spend quality time at the lake campus. Some of our more popular events are cookouts and yoga at the lake.
NEW SUMMIT
We coined Davidon's trivia night and made it a highly coveted reoccuring Wednesday night event. Come out to new themes each week and enjoy the food and beverages of Summit Coffee on campus at 9 pm each week.
RECESS
Did you love camp? Are you looking for an excuse to embrace your childhood? Recess is all about bringing you recess, at college. Capture the flag, Davidson Zombie Apocalypse and Laser Tags are some of our favorites. Our repetoire of fun, competitive, nostalgic games is always expanding.
SPEAKERS
You may be thinking "but we already have a million speaking series on this campus." True, but the UB Speakers committee focuses on the issues YOU want to hear about the people you want to meet. Think pop culture meets current issue of the moment. You might be surprised by what you learn at our events.
STUDENT PERFORMERS
Putting students on the stage is what we love best. Live Thursdays is our bread and butter, but we also jump at other opportunities to feature our fabulous student talents. Fortunatey, we have a weekly event dedicated to doing just that. Come out on Thursday Nights to the 900 Room at 10pm and celebrate our student performers.
